With this inexpensive Balun you'll be able to use lower-cost CAT5 wire for long run video installations. The VDS-009 is a great value and allows you to receive high quality video up to 1000' using CAT5 cable. Sold as one piece, the VDS-006 Balun is required on camera site. For multiple cameras installation the VDS-006 is used with VDS-009 - 8 port Balun. Using VDS-006 single port Balun on camera site and VDS-009 8 port Balun on monitoring site makes for very neat and clean installation. This interchangeability is a great future and is the main reason why we decided to sell Baluns in single quantities instead sets of two. In multiple CCTV cameras installation our customers do prefer mixed setups with VDS-006 on camera site and single 8 port Balun on monitoring (DVR) site based on 8 camera installation or two 8 port Baluns with 16 camera installation. | ||||||||||||||
